Burton James Reserve Straight Rye Whiskey Batch 1

Our Reserve line features very small blends of the best and extra aged barrels we find.
Batch 1 is a blend of three 9 year old and one 10 year old Rye Whiskeys. The blend was allowed to rest and mellow for almost a full year prior to being bottled. Only 555 bottles produced.

Barrel Proof 116.95 / 58.48% ABV - Non-Chilled Filtered.

Tasting Notes
An excellent sipping Rye! If you like Rye Whiskey, you'll be very pleased with this premium small batch. Lots of caramel on the nose with hints of citrus and floral. The first sip is dark chocolate followed by nice sweetness and rich caramel, floral, citrus, and some herbaceous mint. The finish is long and lingers with nice sweetness, dark molasses, floral, a bit of mint and hints of citrus. The oak is perfectly balanced at just the right amount.
